Feeling Rich

Few days back I had gone to a bank alone for the first time in my life. My mom used to work in bank so it never happened that there was a need for me to go to the bank. I always used to think that commerce is the most boring stream. When I went inside the bank there was total chaos. It was very similar to a sabji market(i never go there also but we get to see tht at every railway station) only difference was that it was air conditioned and instead of sabji walis screaming there were employees in formals smiling at you. I just wanted to submit the cheque by filling a paying slip and even after hearing instructions from my mom many times i asked a confirmatory question to a lady besides me. That time i felt i must make myself aware of what is happening in this field. So while searching for books on this topic i came across this book called Rich Dad Poor Dad which really motivated me to become financially literate. I will love to share some things i read during this last month.

99% of the wealth in this world is owned by just 1% people. So there has to be something that this people must be knowing that poor or middle class people are not aware of. Above diagram shows why rich people gets richer. They invest their money such that the money multiplies itself. They invest their money in creating their asset column. They don't work for money instead money works for them.

Financial literacy is very much important if you want to do business. Many people say they want to do business and for that they take a job in their area of expertise in which they wish to start their business. For eg someone who wants to write a book takes a job in some newspaper a reporter. But most of the times he/she ignore other skills which are necessary to publish his book. Those are selling skills. If your book becomes famous it will be called as the best selling book and not the best writing book. If you are willing to become a successful entrepreneur you must know atleast a little of accounts, share market, tax, sales so that no one can betray you.

One thing we should always keep in mind is that money is an illusion. If we run behind money misery will follow us but if we run behinf knowledge money will follow us. If you found some new theory dont directly critize first analyse it study it. So the most important thing is to be student and learn how things are happening around you and after learing things you should implement them in real life. Many people are master with the theory but they are too much afraid to take risks. There is a difference between being a broke and being a poor. Broke is temporary wheras poor is permanent.

And last but not the least is to believe that you can be rich. Behave like you are a rich. Apply the secret. Ask universe that i want to become rich. Believe that you are rich and feel good about being rich. Your dream will manifest itself in reality soon.

I am already feeling rich

"Friends" of BJP

These days I am totally lukkha. All my MBA entrance exams are over and I am waiting for the results. So I spend most of the time on net and catch up with my reading. Few days back I got a message on my mobile that there is a seminar happening in Ravindra Natya Mandir, Dadar where Mr. Arun Jaitley, a BJP leader is going to address people before elections. So just out of caprice I decided to attend that seminar. They were calling it as the "friends" of BJP seminar.

I had never been to any such political seminar so while going there I was quite excited. It was going to start on
11 am and I reached there at 11.30. Mr Arun Jaitley was speaking. They had placed speakers as well screens in the corridor so I was able to hear him before entering the hall. He was speaking in his hefty voice. He was standing on the podium wearing his customary white kurta pyjama. They gave me some forms to fill which I returned torn and unfilled. :P. I entered the hall and it was almost full. I got the seat in the last row besides a guy who was wearing almost similar looking attire as arun Jaitley. He was a thin guy must be in his 60's. Mr Jaitley was speaking.

Mr Jaitley was talking about how congress has screwed up
India over the years. He was ridiculing congress for being dynastic. How difficult it is for new leaders to reach higher positions in congress because of the dynasty in congress. He also roasted our PM by saying "PM is in office but not in power." Then he gave some examples. Like the numbers given by congress about fiscal deficit(6%) and how experts think that they are far more than what they have given(9%) and how he thinks that they should be far more than what experts have said(13-15%). I was waiting now he will say something about what BJP is going to do. Now he will say but all in vain. He just went on to blackguarding the congress rule.

Then there was a question answer session. . I had a question so I wrote it on a paper and passed it on to the stage through a security guard (I wondered why he was there as no one had checked me while coming inside). Mr Jaitley was now answering the questions. He was asked are you people going to apply some new strategies or you are going to go with the same old methodologies. I thought he should have taken this opportunity to tell everyone about the new visions of BJP instead he said what I am doing right now with you is something new what we are doing. Well begging for votes and ridiculing opposition in AC hall in front of the youth is something new what BJP is doing. Exemplary. My neighbor was impressed clapping and all and also laughing on his taunts on congress. I found it strange and got to know within 5 mins, why he was doing so.

Then came my question which was "I am 22 and most of my generation think that all politicians are corrupt; how will you address that?" and guess what? I was unable to hear what he said. A person sitting next to me started asking me Q's .. My neighbor – some BJP neta from Versova was so impressed with my question(I don't know why) that he poured me with questions. Like what I do and the works. I found him answering my question by saying the answer to your question is what Mr Jaitley was saying about congress being ruled by dynasty. What crap !!. And after 2 mins he did something very (over) smart. He took out some tobacco from his pocket. He ate that and very tactfully he placed the wrapper in the cover of his seat, very carefully making sure that no one is watching him. How long does it takes for a human being to develop a civic sense? 60 yrs are also not enough? Enough is enough.

I am glad I went for this seminar. At least now I am sure to whom I should not be voting.

But to whom should I vote???

Forrest Gump....an ingenious ediot

I saw this movie may be 1 year ago and now I am reading the book. Both are amazing. The book revived my memories when I used to hang out at manas'(my school friend) place and we used to watch lots of movies. It used to be fun. Now that he is in US we don't get to hangout and also I don't watch that many movies. Forest Gump was one of the best movies we had seen and is also one of my all time favorites.

It's a story of an "idiot" called forrest gump played by tom hanks(what an actor!!). In movie people find forrest a moron because of his inability to communicate properly but in his splendid journey of life he proves that he is a genius with above average IQ and with some amazing skills in american football, table tennis, chess and wrestling too.

Many times this happens with us that we tend to judge people from their appearance and then we make opinion about them and based on that we treat them. We don't even give them time to express themselves prove themselves. Why do we hate people?

Krishna said to Arjuna in Bhagvatgita that everything is me. Everything is just one. Everythng has evolved from me and everything will come inside me. Similarly in modern physics its been proved that everything started from a single event big bang and all of us are made up of same elements. So you,me,he,she and it everything is just one. So when you are hating someone you are hating yourself. When you are cursing someone you are cursing yourself and also when you are loving someone you are loving yourself. In famous novel shantaram(based on a true story) the hero of the novel goes to live in the slums and after living there for few months he says "like most of the things and most of the people it is not as bad as it seems from outside". So the point is love everyone. Smile at everyone. Accept everyone.

Life is really very short to hate anyone.

Patience, pain,gain and six packs

I am a total fitness freak person. Very much fascinated by six packs ever since I saw Om Shanti Om. I love playing cricket and generally i don't miss a single match that has been played in our society. I also love to play badminton and I think I am very good at it. Now its been more than a month I have not been to gym haven't played cricket(except last sunday when i did some batting but i love to bowl also) and badminton because I am facing a shoulder injury and that is what is frustrating me a bit(In a way this is also helping me because I can devote more time to my hobby of reading ). When I asked my doctor when can I start doing all these things again he said "Be Patient".

Its an old cliché no pain no gain and I really believe in it ever since I have become a part of Art Of Living family. I remember the pain I felt while holding my legs in Vajrasan and what i have gained through that is something I just can't explain in words. For me being patient is like going through an emotional pain (atyachar). So I am giving my cent percent to be very optimistic about the results of this pain.

I hope I will develop my six packs before they go out of vogue :P
